SMS Consent

Last updated July 5, 2026. Draft for pilot use; attorney review is required before broad public launch.

Consent is separate

Submitting a beta, contact, order, booking, waitlist, or quote form does not automatically enroll a person in SMS marketing. Sellers must request and store SMS consent before promotional texts are sent.

Transactional messages

Order status, pickup, delivery, appointment, and payment-request updates may be sent only when the seller has configured a compliant provider setup and the message is appropriate for the customer relationship.

Opt out

SMS flows must support STOP, START, and HELP handling where live SMS is enabled. A customer who opts out must not receive additional promotional messages unless they opt in again.

Provider requirements

Live SMS may require Twilio configuration, 10DLC registration, brand/campaign approval, quiet-hour rules, and seller-specific compliance review before launch.
