Beta software

Porch Orders is a pilot system. Features, naming, pricing, availability, and integrations may change while the product is being tested.

Seller responsibility

Sellers are responsible for their own menus, prices, food safety, cottage-food rules, tax obligations, payment instructions, refunds, pickup policies, allergens, and customer communications.

No guaranteed processing

Orders submitted through the pilot are requests until the seller accepts them and gives payment or fulfillment instructions.

Payments and refunds

Manual payments are handled between the seller and customer unless online checkout is explicitly enabled for a seller. Sellers are responsible for payment disputes, refund decisions, tax obligations, and communicating their policies before fulfillment.

Communications

Messaging tools must be used with appropriate customer consent, clear opt-out handling, and accurate seller contact information.

Availability

The pilot may be interrupted for maintenance, provider outages, setup changes, or abuse prevention. Sellers should keep a manual backup plan for time-sensitive fulfillment.
